IOKit and .xcode

The current versions of the IOKit sample code use the .pbobj file format
(backward compatible with XCode). When I tried to upgrade the project file
to XCode, I ran into problems, specifically with Info.plist.
The .pbobj target prefs has the ability to edit the Info.plist tree, thus
allowing editing of the IOKitPersonalities property. I cannot find a way
to edit the same property in the XCode target prefs. If I click the 'open
Info.plist as file' button I can edit the Info.plist directly, but if I
touch any of the other properties I lose all the additional entries.
For now, I've gone back to .pbobj, but is there an XCode clean way of doing
this?
Thanks
