gcc4.0

I've been trying to build some projects in terminal that I use for my main project and after upgrading to 10.4/XCode 2.0 I'm unable to build these projects.

An example of what wont build is php-4.3.10, during the configure it complains about zlib not being available yet if I uninstall the dev tools, reinstall the dev tools without gcc4.0 I can build this project and any other without any difficulties at all.

Is there a workaround to get it to default to using gcc3.x instead of gcc4.0
