This seems to work fine for me, at least when I have "Open
counterparts in same editor" checked in the General preferences.  Is
the request, then, to have all-in-one mode always force the behavior
you get when enabling the "Open counterparts in same editor" checkbox?
 Fine by me, but you never know, having those distinct may be someone
else's favorite feature.
