No, this is a reported bug. I do find it interesting that you see this on the G5, but not the Powerbook. Are there any meaningful differences between the Xcode prefs on each system?

I noticed an issue on my PowerMac G5 at work in which XCode 2.1 does not hide the mouse pointer when I start typing, yet on my PowerBook at home it has the correct behavior of hiding the mouse pointer. I find it very irritating to have to keep moving my mouse pointer out of the way when I start typing. Since I am running the same OS version and the same XCode version, I am not sure why I get the correct behavior on my PowerBook at home but not on my PowerMac G5 at work. Is there a setting for controlling this behavior somewhere?
thanks, -tom
