Axel Andersson posted a useful script to one of the mailing lists (I think it was Cocoa-Dev) about using a shell script phase to automatically set the CFBundleVersion value to the current revision number from Subversion.

I noticed a minor defect in the script that prevented the *latest* revision number from being extracted out of subversion. I discuss the process of tracking down the solution, and a revised version of the script, on my blog:
