hmm, that doesn't seem to work... I get:

<snip>
...-framework Cocoa -framework vecLib -framework IOKit -ldcmdata -lofstd
-lnetcdf -lvolume_io -lminc -lQuesa -framework System -lz.1.2.3 -arch
ppc "-Wl,_sprintf$LDBLStub"
ld: can't open: _sprintf$LDBLStub (No such file or directory, errno = 2)

But Stefan's technique works, I've filed <rdar://4221710> on this whole issue.
