Well I have the following situation:
I have an Cocoa application that uses Apple's Core Audio
PublicUtility framework to playback some audio.
With the introduction of Tiger is was heavily changed and uses now
some fancy new features that are - of course - only available in Tiger.
As my application has to maintain compatibility with at least 10.2.
and 10.3 I am forced do either go with the old stuff - which had some
glitches (guess that was the reason for the make-up) - or do
something better.
So I started to take the audio playback and put it into a private
framework that is dynamically linked.
Now what I would love is a mechanism that loads version A of my
framework when 10.2 / 10.3 is running and B when 10.4. is up.
Can this be achieved with a private framework?
Or do I need to make the stuff into a bundle and do all the "loading"
stuff and deciding which bundle version to open by hand?
And help appreciated,
Michael
