Breakpoints in threads?

This is probably a naive question, but... is there a way to set a breakpoint in code that runs in a thread? I'm launching threads via NSThread's +detachNewThreadSelector:toTarget:withObject: method. It seems Xcode just ignores the breakpoints I set. Or is there something special one must do?
