A friend has handed me a problem relating to autoreconf and a GNU project (ClamAV).

It seems to be broken because after issuing 'autoreconf -i -f' the project no longer builds citing thousands of errors.

In case it was related to this specific project I performed the same procedure on another project that built OK (gmp) and it was rendered useless yet on all my 10.4 machines it does not cause this problem.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue so my friend can build his projects?
