Controls' background color in Carbon apps

  • Subject: Controls' background color in Carbon apps

We are building a Safari plug-in in Carbon. When building a toolbar, a white outline (shadow) is always displayed around combination boxes and buttons. The documentation says that buttons should be embedded into another control and it is the parent control that will set the background color.

1. What control should we use as a container for the buttons and combination boxes?

2. How do we change the background color of that control since SetControlColorProc was deprecated?

Thanks in advance,
-Vlad
