1) The "add to project" file dialog in Xcode won't allow me to enter /usr/lib so

I can't add /usr/lib/libiconv.dylib and /usr/lib/libxml2.dylib using the GUI.

The only way I'm found to get around this is to add 2 other dynamic libraries

to the project, exit Xcode, edit the project file manually to change the

filenames and restart Xocde. There must be a better way than this, please would

someone clue me in.

Hidden feature of the open panel that's been there since Panther: Press Shift-Cmd-G in the open panel to bring up a prompt asking for a directory path. You can also drag the libraries into the project from the Finder. Just like with the open panel, the Finder can navigate into hidden paths using Shift-Cmd-G.

Even faster: when selecting a file to open (but not save), if you just press "/" the Path dialog opens automatically and enters the slash.  So you can just do command-option-A, /usr/lib, and you're there.
