Java Error Messages

  • Subject: Java Error Messages

When compiling an Ant-based Java project with XCode, the build errors don't appear with the little icons in the source file editor gutter and as the red lines in the scrollbar like they do with C. Also, the single most common error message (which I see at least 10,000 times a day) is "cannot resolve symbol", which then requires me to peer shortsightedly at the mass of text in the compiler output to try and work out what the symbol might be. Is there any solution for either of these problems?
