"No Editor" in Xcode 2.2

I'm a newbie to Xcode. The version is 2.2, running on Tiger X.4.3.

I'm trying to get through the Xcode Quick Tour Guide. In the section on
Runtime Debugging, I set the breakpoint on CreateNibReference, and
choose Debug > Debug Executable. The debugger window shows only a "No
Editor" message, but no source code.

Please can somebody tell me how to fix this?
