Look at top or Activity Monitor and see if you are running low on memory
(or paging out) when compiling. If not, you probably have plenty of
memory, although it rarely hurts to add more.

If you have a lot of decent machines in the office, distributed compiles
make a huge difference. I'll assume you are using pre-compiled headers
already.
