if all we do is the "quick and dirty port of Unix programs" (which
would have broken even on Unix if spaces had been used in the Unix
path names) then we deserve what we get. It's up to all of us to "do
the right thing" to make it easier for the "users" of the world.
Programmers are users too, and the command line is a UI. Gcc should be
as user-friendly as an iPod and there is no reason why it shouldn't
be.
