With my DTK, there came a DVD with a Mac OS X 10.4.3 (8F1099) and a Xcode 2.1 installer.

Now, I downloaded the latest version of the Xcode tools (xcode_2.2_8m654_018213974.dmg, which is identical to the Xcode 2.2 GM) from ADC.

But the Xcode installer refuses to install on that DTK system, because "no valid Mac OS X software" could be found. I already removed the Xcode tools (using the provided perl script), but had to re-installed the Xcode tools 2.1.

On a DTK, you have to be running build 8F1111 of the OS to be able to run Xcode 2.2. I'd suggest upgrading to 8F1111 anyway; it's much better than 8F1099.

Hope this helps,
Eric
