Tony,
Please file a bug with your example project and where you tried to set
breakpoints, and what I should do with the project to try to hit thost
breakpoints, and I will have a look at it.
I have been using an Xcode project for debugging gdb on and off for a
couple of years now, and haven't had problems with finding sources in
the debugger. gdb is a very complicated project with LOTS of
subdirectories and code generated by the configure/make process, etc.
But all this works for me.
So there must be something particular to your project that is tripping
Xcode up.

Jim,
Actually what I'm observing is that Xcode can't open the files to bring
them up in response to a compile error/warning. I haven't even gotten
to the breakpoint stage yet, this problem is occurring for me when build
errors happen.
I filed bug #3984782 today, and added a very simple test project which
illustrates what I'm talking about. Open the project and try to build
it. There's a syntax error in the source file, and when that error
shows up in the Errors/warnings smart group or in the detailed build
results window, I can't click on the errors to bring them up in an editor.
Thanks for looking into this.
