Well, not to beat a dead horse, but...
Today I got notification that my Mac mini shipped. (I loved seeing my
package's FedEx tracking page say: "Package status: SHENZHEN CN"!)
So, since we know that there is a different version of Darwin on the
mini (7T21) than there is on my PowerBook (7S215), and it seems that
Apple won't be upgrading the Darwin on my PowerBook any time soon....
Anyone have a work around for getting the mini to do distributed
builds? Can I fake the check somewhere? Can I fake the advertised
darwin version from the mini?

To be specific, in order to use distributed builds, the machines must
have the same:
1) OS Version (we compare the Darwin version strings)
2) compiler version (gcc-3.3 version string comparison)
3) distcc version (here we compare the protocol version)
The PowerBook is running 10.3.7 and is kept up-to-date with System
Updates. The mini will, of course, be brand new. I can put the same
version of Xcode (1.5) on the mini as is on my PowerBook. But it seems
the Darwin version will be the show-stopper.
Help! I don't want my new compile farm (okay, okay, compile garden?
compile window box?) to be non-functional until the next time Apple
decides to update Darwin!
