How do I open the build log? If I'm in the "build results" window, I select the linker error line (the one with the disclosure triangle), but I don't see any "build log" option anywhere. Where is it?

Open up the Detailed Build window. In the top half of the window you will see the errors & warnings. In the bottom half you will see the code where the error/warnings exists (if you click on one of the errors). There is a kind of a bar between the two sections. You will see in the middle of that bar two dots. Grab the top dot and drag it up and voila! you get all of the detailed build information. There are also 4 icons on the left side of that bar that you can mess with but I don't usually use those.

Not exactly the most obvious thing until you've done it once.
