I guess you better build in the cost of all the power strips, network
cables,
& switches/hubs and possibly a monster kvm switch. =)
Well... in my case I have spare ports on a switch so that's not so bad,
and certainly there is an argument to be made that managing and keeping
up-to-date six machines is more work than one. However since I was a
WWDC attendee last year I got a copy of this really neat systems
management package Apple makes called Remote Desktop ! So I won't bother
with a KVM - just have a spare monitor or keyboard lying around for
emergencies. I can also use Remote Desktop to push software updates out
to the machines etc.
