You didn't say what you were using (Cocoa, Carbon, Java). You would be better off asking on the specific list -- Cocoa list (cocoa-dev), Carbon list (carbon-dev) (I don't know if there's an OS X Java list). Your issue is unlikely to be an xcode issue…
