  • Subject: minimal install for supporting distributed builds?

Hi all,

I'm at a new job with scads of Apple hardware all about and would like
to set up some machines for use with distributed builds. Ideally I'd
like to install the needed bits via Remote Desktop rather than walking
around with a CD.

My main question is, what's the minimal set of packages needed to
conveniently support distributed builds?

(I ask partly because I want to install a minimal amount of stuff, and
partly because ARD won't install the full Xcode package -- seems to
dislike .mpkg files.)

Secondary question: Is there any way to work around the
identical-OS-version limitation? Our lab machines run 10.3.6 but I
would like to have 10.3.7+ on my machine.

thanks,

pb
