Using KillProcess with 10.2.8

(Sent to both lists because I don't know if it's a problem with the dev tools or API-related.)

I'm working on a Carbon project that I developed with Xcode 2.0.

I figure I ought to use a Target SDK of 10.2.8 (since I need to support older systems, and don't want to use gcc 4 and its new libraries).

I now get an error that KillProcess isn't defined. The Xcode documentation says it was in 10.2. The 10.3.9 SDK version of Processes.h says it's in 10.2. But the 10.2.8 SDK version of Processes.h doesn't have it.

I think someone said that Apple was unlikely to fix "old" header files -- is this true?

Unfortunately, even when I copied the declaration from Processes.h, I get a link error. So I'm wondering if the function really did exist in 10.2. Or how to build so I can use it. Does using the 10.3.9 SDK prevent me from running on 10.2? (Switching to 10.3 does seem to be using gcc 4 and libstdc++.a ...)

And if there is no KillProcess, how should I terminate a child process?
