In Xcode 2.1, each target can have multiple "build configurations" each with it's own set of build settings. In addition, we exposed project-level build configurations (which are overriden by the target). UNfortunately, the UI for project-level build settings is very similar to the old "build styles" UI, which leads to some confusion

Might I suggest that the UI for project-level build settings actually include the phrase "*Project-level* build configurations" (or similar) to differentiate it from the target-level ones? The target- level ones should probably also be labelled "Target-level build configurations" (or similar).

Until I read your email, Scott, I had no idea that I the configurations I saw when I did a "Get Info" at the very top level of my project were different from what I was seeing when I did a "Get Info" on an individual target (and yes, I did read the release notes, but I obviously didn't "get it"...)

Cheers,
