It turns out that the reason was the order I was linking my libraries.
I just had to move the library that was the source of the error down a
bit in the link order and the problem went away.
Another problem I had is that I was mixing dynamic and static libraries
in my link order. You need to put all the static ones before the dynamic
ones, otherwise they will attempt to be linked with the dynamic linker.
This is odd, but documented (not terribly obvious though!).
