The code compiles fine on linux, and I've installed gcc and the BSD SDK from the xcode 1.5 package. I'm running OS X 10.3.9.
I'm sorry if this is an old problem, but I haven't been able to find a solution on the web.

You need more than just gcc from Xcode 1.5, you also need its cctools. Install Xcode 1.5 entirely instead of just parts of it.
