I'd guess you'd have to install gcc-2.95.2 which is an optional install with Xcode - err - Xcode 1.2.


Unless you want to compile a kext or alike, gcc-3.1 should work fine on 10.1.5 as well. Hopefully I remember right, it's covered somewhere in the Xcode 1.0 or Xcode 1.2 Release Notes.

Did you test it on 10.1.5? I doubt it would work.

on a different tangent... is it possible that "1.95.2" is a typo in the instructions that should read "2.95.2"?

Very likely. gcc-1.x was current when we all ran System 6 on a 25 MHz 68030 processor. :-)
