You should use 'ppc' for generic PowerPC, 'i386' for the Developer Transition System and future Apple Intel boxen, and 'ppc64' for 64-bit PowerPC. Other settings will limit you to specific processors in the Gx line, which is OK if that's what you want. The compiler's interpretation of these arguments has not changed in Xcode 2.1.
