Distributed Builds from xcodebuild (command-line) in XCode 2.1

I can't seem to get xcodebuild to distribute builds to my build farm when I run it from the command line.

The same project with the same target and configuration distributes fine to other machines in the farm, however xcodebuild just runs a plan 'CompileC' action and not the 'Distributed-CompileC' action I see the from the XCode UI.

Am I missing something here ? Did this feature go away ?
