Hi all,
Briefly, is $(SOURCE_TREE_NAME) the correct syntax to use in path
settings like "Library Search Paths"?
My problem is as follows: I have set up a source tree in the preferences
like so:
NETCDF_ST NETCDF_ST /Users/sean/RogueSVNWorkingCopy/Test/trunk/
RRCropViewTest/other/netcdf/
Then I drag libFoo.a (which is in the above folder hierarchy) into my
project, and get the usual sheet where I can choose the "Reference
Type". But my source tree is not listed! Quit XCode, relaunch,
repeat. Ahhh, now its there. Sigh. I add it. Now I look at my
"Library Search Paths" and see "$(SRCROOT)/../RRCropViewTest/other/
netcdf". That doesn't look relative to the source tree to me! I change
it to "$(NETCDF_ST)" and things seem to work.
<rant>IMNSHO, this is a perfect example of all that is wrong with XCode,
it is littered with bazillions of small bugs like these, and lacks
finesse. Death by a thousand little cuts. Yeah, yeah, file bugs. But
it would be a full time job! I have done in the past, and almost none
of my PB/XC/IB bugs has ever been fixed, I suspect because they are all
'minor'. I give up. I miss CodeWarrior!</rant>
Thanks,
