Hi Scott,
this was no typo so this could be something. There are several target types
with 'tool' in the name. Which sould I select ?
BSD - Shell tool

This is the basic command line tool template (the most likely candidate to choose)


Carbon - Shell tool

Same as above, but links in the Carbon framework

Cocoa - Shell tool (probably not)

Same as above, but links in the Foundation framework.

Java - tool (unlikely)

Yeah, this is a java command line tool. Most likely not what you want.

Legacy - tool

This is a project that uses the old jambase build system, also not what you want.
