'differ in signedness' warnings with gcc 4

  • Subject: 'differ in signedness' warnings with gcc 4

I don't think the following should generate a warning, but I'll leave to the language gods to decide for sure:

typedef NSDictionary DictionaryOfColors;

@interface foo {
    }

-(DictionaryOfColors*) getColors;
@end

void SomeFunc(foo* foo1, foo* foo2)
    {
    DictionaryOfColors* colors1 = [foo1 getColors];
    DictionaryOfColors* colors2 = [foo1 getColors];

    if ([colors1 isEqualToDictionary:colors2])
        {
        ...
        }
    }

warning: pointer targets in passing argument 1 of 'isEqualToDictionary:' differ in signedness
