more != better.
Think it's hard to find a pref now? Imagine if they did this. Just
because you *can* doesn't mean you *should*.
Sure, no question, and there is a good rule of thumb "You cannot add
a preference unless you remove another one" which clearly was never
explained to unix folks in general, and certainly gcc and Xcode in
particular (not to mention sendmail ;-).
However this is hardly a case of wondering what a half decent UI
would be - just include a "Don't warn me again" button in the alert.
That can turn off the preference, and the user can turn it back off
with either the global "Reset warnings" preference button (which is
the only actual preference you need to add if its not already there)
or by using defaults write.
It's not exactly rocket science.
