[SNIP wanting Subversion included]
Do I need to file a bug for this? (If so, where? Under what
category?)
I was going to file a bug, but I just checked and saw that I did on
August 23, 2004. That request had a problem ID of 3771382. That
bug was for including it in Tiger. Obviously that didn't happen,
but maybe it can for XCode 2.2 (or, worse case, Leopard).
Adding Subversion to Mac OS X is something that will happen for a
major OS release. It is very unlikely you would see this happen with
a developer tools release (since many of the needed pieces would live
in the base OS.
I've heard that Apple can use multiple people filing similar bugs
as a type of voting. Does this have a cap of one per person? (In
other words, could I re-file a bug?)
While you could re-file a bug, knowingly re-filing bugs is frowned
upon. While we do look at duplicates as an indication of developer
interest in a bug/feature, bugreporter is not meant to be a voting
system.
