I've seen the "debugger off by lines" bug numerous times, and probably all of my files contain such comments. (Don't all of Apple's? You used to have block-comment change histories at the top.)

Actually I've never seen this caused by the too large block comments but I have seen it caused by illegal hi-byte characters (like my the bullet *).

Why is that illegal? It might be in an unpredictable encoding, but if it's in a comment, who cares?


Most of our files have a proper copyright symbol © in the comments...
