XCode 1.5 and a resource-style Carbon app

  • Subject: XCode 1.5 and a resource-style Carbon app

I finally found a way to create a working XCode 1.5 project for a resource-based Carbon application that works correctly.

XCode 1.5 no longer includes a template for a project for a resource-based Carbon app.

So to allow me the ability to use this application style, I used Project Builder to create a resource-based Carbon app.

Then I imported it into XCode 1.5.

Then I converted the target to a native target.

Then I added all my source files, SharedSupport items, and plist info. and it works... without an exclamation point in the name, of course.

I've noticed that XCode has hundreds of little settings that are used in various places for various purposes, and most of them are not explained for the user.

For this reason, IMHO XCode should continue to include a template for resource-based Carbon app.
