This is a new feature in Xcode 2.  Are you using
Xcode 2?

I guess that's why - I'm still using Xcode 1.5

Any doc updates planned for us still using Xcode 1.5?
I'd much rather be able to use xcode to search for
info on the new webkit APIs instead of having to go
through the web to do it.

The documentation update itself is available for download from connect.apple.com as an installable disk image.  The feature to automatically notice that it's been posted and offer to download it is the Xcode 2.0 feature; users of 1.5 have to check the site themselves.  The documentation is the same regardless.

So then the answer is: No.

That is a NO to having the automatic doc update detection feature being added to Xcode 1.5 or earlier.

A YES to being able to download and install the documentation updates on systems using Xcode 1.5 (at least reading what Chris said).

Head over to <http://connect.apple.com/> login and look at the downloads page (documentation sub-page exists if needed).
