And off-topic. The Xcode-users list is about Xcode, the program. To ask
about Cocoa classes and how to use them, RTFM and RTFA (the archives), and
if you still need help, head for Cocoa-dev. m.

Um, it's not quite that cut and dried. Asking questions about any of the tools that comprise the Xcode Tools suite (which includes InterfaceBuilder) is okay for this list. So asking how to edit a split view in InterfaceBuilder is okay.


However, as this thread started to drift towards questions/opinions about the actual NSSplitView class (instead of how to manipulate a split view in IB) it would be better to move it to cocoa-dev.
