I'm working on an large application that runs under Oracle and the Oracle client needs a few environment environment variables to setup it's configuration. Finally I would like to ship the application bundle as it is to a large number of clients but possible just changiung the environment variables in one location without despite th efact if the application is started from the finder, from a script, from the terminal or (this seems not to be possibe at all) from within XCode during development.

Thank you

To be a good Mac OS X citizen, the app should figure out the needed
info's its self, IMHO.

Could you give an example of what you're trying to achive?
