I wasn't aware of that. I tried it in a different user account and
ESC did indeed work. Esc also works in other Cocoa apps in my own
user account.
I already threw out everything in ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/
Developer Tools, so I tried again after removing everything in ~/
Library/KeyBindings. That didn't help. What did help in the end was
to trash Xcode's preferences with all my existing settings in ~/
Library/Preferences. The Esc key now works, which is already a huge
improvement.
The other issues are not affected, not in my regular account and not
in a different, fresh one so I think those are bugs.
