I haven't been able to find any previous discussion of this problem from the archives...
After updating to 10.3.9, there is a problem building my project during the Build ResourceManager build phase issue where Xcode becomes a runaway process while rezzing the .r file. I have tried both the MacOSXUpdate10.3.9.dmg and the MacOSXUpdateCombo10.3.9.dmg updaters in addition to using Software Update and the result is always the same. 10.3.8 and below all work fine. (Using an iMac G5 1.6 GHz.)
Is this a known issue? Do I need to file a bug report.
No, we've never seen or heard of this.
Perhaps you could elaborate on "becomes a runaway process." Spins forever? Thinks that Rezzing is taking forever?
Rez is started and it continues to run non-stop using 85-95% of the CPU until I manually kill the process. A build log would be helpful, as would a Shark or Sampler report on whatever seems to be hanging.
I'll file this as a bug and include the log/report files.
