Editing text macros

  • Subject: Editing text macros

I edited some of the Xcode 2.0 text macro resource files to change the layout of some of the entries. This worked fine for the ObjC macros ("ObjectiveC.xctxtmacro") but the changes I made to the C macros (C.xctxtmacro) seem to have no effect.

Since I can't find anything wrong with the changes I made and deliberately inserting garbage text into the macro statements seems to also have no effect, I was wondering if anyone knew whether Xcode actually uses the C.xctxtmacro resource or whether these macros are hardcoded into the main app or retrieved from elsewhere? And, if this is case, if there is another way to go about changing them?

Otherwise, any suggestions of what I am likely to have overlooked would be appreciated.

John Blumel
