How to work around this bug?

  • Subject: How to work around this bug?

So I set a few breakpoints in some code of mine, and then Xcode complained about being able to handle my breakpoints.

Unable to set breakpoint MacMFCShims.h:853. Make sure to build the file MacMFCShims.h with debugging symbols.
Note: breakpoint 17 also set at pc 0x230dc.
Note: breakpoints 17 and 18 also set at pc 0x230dc.

In practice, this equates to this:

1) when I step into code, totally the wrong line is selected by the red bar.
2) When I set breakpoints on certain lines, totally the wrong function is actually broken into.

Can someone tell me how I can get this working properly?

Without being able to debug, this makes my job 3x harder. There's no point writing complex code if you can't debug it.
