Hi David,
My bug - #3519754 - submitted in Dec 2003 - is still open. For me,
it would seem the problems with XCode not being able to locate file
(s) came from two places: The <username>.mode1 file in the project
bundle and the definition of the path location in the
'project.pbxproj' file in the project bundle.
One thing you might try is 1) Quit XCode 2) Trash the
<username>.mode1 file. You'll have to reset some things like 'View-
>Groups and Files->Target membership' and to resize some windows -
but that has been a help to me in the past with regards 'cannot find
file' complaints.
My bug relates to how XCode seems to (sometimes) have problems where
the path is an 'up and over and down' location to the project - such
as where the path - relative to the project - would resolve as "../
Dira/Dirb/thefile.c"
In the 'project.pbxproj' file, it was the definition for 'path' and
'sourceTree' for the item that was the problem. By comparing a
reference to that of the problem-path, I was able to see what worked
and what didn't work. However, I don't think anyone suggests you
hand-edit the 'project.pbxproj' file. So, how you might use the
XCode UI to redfine the location of the object in question is up to you.
Best Regards,
Lance Drake
