There's a convenient way to solve this, it's just not very well
documented: download the pdf image, copy its contents to a place of your
choice (say ~/Aug05DevDocPDF/), and then add this to the "Extended
Locations" list in the Documentation tab of Xcode's preferences. Make
sure that it is above the Web entry, if you have that too.
This works very well for me.
