Moving the scrollbar seems to resolve it so it is probably just a
simple screen redraw but it is quite annoying.
This is a frequently-reported and well-known annoyance.
It would seem that typing the close quote isn't sufficient to trigger
view redrawing. But once you get to the end of the line, and press
RETURN, this does the trick. Even selecting the text will work.
Still, it is an annoyance.
