Is gdb's tab completion functionality supposed to be usable, or is it some kind of last resort thing? On my 1.25GHz Powerbook, it takes a good 6 seconds to list the completions, regardless of how few matches there are. I'm just wondering if it's this slow for everyone, or whether there's something wrong with my setup.

It's pretty fast for me if I've already typed a few characters. But if, for example, I make the mistake of typing a tab after a space character, it takes it annoyingly long to find all the symbols, especially since I'm not actually interested in them at that point. (1.8 GHz G5.)
