auto-selecting an app to attach to?

...I really like the new support for attaching apps in the gui: it helps to debug my tcl/tk app (thanks jim)! But I wonder if there's an easier way to "auto-magically" (fave new phrase) select an app based on it's name instead of it's PID? The child-process that I'm attaching to is always named the same unique name, so even something like a search pane that prunes the list of candidates to attach to would be super-keen ;-)

...is this available?
