Xcode 2.1: SCM Error "could not reach host"

  • Subject: Xcode 2.1: SCM Error "could not reach host"

My name is Karim and I'm from Italy.

Hi all, is the first time that I write in this ML, I just enjoy you today 'cause this problem is very strange for me. At first some info about my system:

OS: Mac OS X 10.4.2 (8C46) Kernel: Darwin 8.2.0 Computer: PowerBook6,5 (iBook 12") CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.1) Number of CPU: 1 CPU Speed: 1.07 GHz L2 Cache: 512 KB RAM: 768 MB Bus: 133 MHz Boot ROM: 4.8.5f0 CVS: 1.11.1p1.perm13 (client/server) Xcode: 2.1

I use another version of CVS because is necessary to use the service offered from freepository.com. I compiled the new cvs with support of SSL from source. All work.

I use CVS with lyx and by hand from terminal. I tried to import a project made with xcode and checkout it. All it's ok. At the beginning xcode worked also with the SCM, but now I had a strange message every time that I try to connect on the cvs server.

"SCM could not go online. Could not reach host: freepository.com:6487"

I don't underestand why I receive this message. I tried everything:

. install xcode 2.2 prewiev
. remove xcode 2.2 and install the xcode 2.0
. reinstall the xcode 2.1
. login in another use and tried to connect.

My friend that works with me have an iMac G5, the same OS version of me, the same xcode, the same project from cvs and everything works!

Really, I'm wondered, and I don't know what think. Lyx works, CVS from terminal works, but xcode stopped to works.

Sorry for my english works, and thanks for your attention.
