Check to make sure you have Xcode configured properly to handle external SCM connections.

1. Select the name of your project from the Groups and Files list.
2. Click the Info button on the project window toolbar to open the project's information panel.
3. Click the General Tab in the information panel.
4. Make sure the SCM System popup menu says CVS and the Enable SCM checkbox is selected.
5. Click the Edit button next to the SCM System popup menu.
6. Select the use ssh instead of rsh for external connections checkbox.
